Page 188 Text: IN 1981, Dan Kuehn sent us an inscribed copy of his new book, Mongolian Cloud Houses. Although produced in the ’80s, it was a book born of the ’60s, with the energy and vitality of people who revered the earth and its resources and were dedicated to leaving as small a footprint and using as few resources as possible. At the time Dan was living in a 13'-diameter, 10'-tall homemade yurt in the woods. The book is a guide to building that yurt. The instructions are clear and the drawings are beautiful— informative and friendly.
